Mehmood Alam, son of Noor Mehmod, represented PK-61 Kohistan-I in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2008 to 2013. He initially contested as an Independent candidate but later joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). During his tenure, he served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Excise and Taxation Department.
