Shahram Khan Tarakai son of Liaqat Khan Tarakai is a politician from Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who has served in various political roles. He was elected as MNA from NA-20 Swabi-II in 2024 and previously served as MPA from PK-32 (Swabi-II) and PK-47 (Swabi-V) in 2013 and 2018, respectively. Tarakai held prominent positions as Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Local Government, Elections, and Rural Development from 2018 to 2020 and Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Health from 2013 to 2018. He co-founded Awami Jamhuri Ittehad Pakistan (AJIP) in 2012, which later merged with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 2015.
