   According to the data shared by gun policy, Org.  The estimated total number of funs (both an illicit) held by civilians in Pakistan is 2017: 37,917,000. The data reflects that the number of licensed fun owners in Pakistan by the year 2014 is reported to be 352, 843, the available according to a media reports, 20 millions firearms, both legal and illegal, exist in Pakistan. Of a population of 200 million people, only seven million possess registered firearms. In Pakistan, 116 individuals out of every 1,000 possess firearms, making its sixth in the world for gun ownership. The homicide rate is 7.3 per one hundred thousand.

Statists reflects the number of registered guns in Pakistan by the year 2017 is reported to be 6,000,000 and while the unregistered and unlawfully held guns cannot be counted, but in Pakistan there is a classification of the world’s small, medium and major firearm manufacturers. Pakistan was ranked medium and number of unregistered and unlawful weapons in 2017 estimated to be 37,917,000. The above data does not include firearms used by security forces and defense personals.

This House resolves that the concerned authorities according to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Surrender of illicit Arms Act, 2014 should form a mechanism for the surrender of Illicit Arms, 2014 and make, reduce easy access to dangerous weapons; and increase the penalty for possessing illegal arms to 10 years in prison, anti-gun campaigners say.
